General medicine is the first level of medical attention and is essential for prevention, detection and treatment. We offer this service seven days a week. We have provided quality care to more than 350,000 low income patients over the past sixteen years. Weekly our general practitioners see approximately 200 patients.
We offer prosthetic and rehabilitation services for patients who have lost limbs by accident or disease. In addition to our regular physical therapy services, we have a prosthetics unit, which offers patients the opportunity to walk again. We offer prosthetic legs, hands, and feet and the physical training needed to help patients get accustomed to their new prosthetics. We accept all patients in need of a procedure that is otherwise prohibitively expensive. The Clinic has treated hundreds of prosthetic patients since opening.
The Clinicās modern laboratory offers a variety of lab tests which are performed at low, affordable prices for patients who can afford them, and are free of cost to those who cannot. Our lab performs complete biochemistry, microbiological, hemogram, and urine analysis exams. Clinic technicians test for syphilis, heliobacteria, hepatitis, HIV, and a plethora of other bacteria or viral based diseases. Lab results are provided to the patients immediately upon being processed, saving the patients additional travel time.
The Clinic has modern ultra sound machines for abdominal, thorax, gynecological and vascular exams, and has the only ultra sound machines in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The dental unit provides daily routine services including fluoride treatments for children, prosthetics, and modern treatments for improving dental health.
We attend non-life threatening emergency cases, minor injuries and wound care including burns, cuts and blows, are cared for by our professional medical and nursing staffs. Cases requiring additional care are stabilized by our medical staff and transferred to Cusco.
The Clinic provides hearing tests and diagnosis of hearing loss or damage. Hearing aids are provided at a low, affordable cost to those who can afford them and are cost-free to those who cannot.
We have modern X-ray facilities, rapidly identify breaks, fractures, or abnormalities so that our patients can receive immediate and proper treatment.
Our pharmacy is the first and one of only a few pharmacies in the District of Coya. Stocked with the most vital medications needed by our patients, the Clinic offers prescriptions to patients at a low, affordable cost or, if the patient cannot afford to purchase them, cost free.
The Clinic accepts pre med and others interested in public health programs wishing to volunteer their services at the Clinic on a one by one basis. Volunteers must have conversational Spanish, spend at least one month at the Clinic, and cover their own living expenses (which are available at very low costs in the area).
